Leota’s Garden
I’ve decided what book I am going to start reading to blog about. After much thought on this, I thought I would go with a book that I haven’t read since college. It is one of my most favorite books. It is Leota’s Garden by Francine Rivers. As I stated, it has been basically 4-6 years since I last read this book. It is about a loving relationship that blooms between a granddaughter and the grandmother she didn’t know for most of her life. To read more about it before I blog about it. Click on the above link and it will take you directly to Francine Rivers’ web page where you can read about the book yourself. Anyways, I think it is one of the best books I have ever read and look forward to blogging about it in the coming days. And hopefully you all will want to read about it as well. Love you all!

What I love about Books
There is something truly amazing about books. Books can touch you in ways that nothing else can. A good book can take you somewhere that you’ve never been and let you be something you could never be. You struggle with the main characters and sometimes their struggles are the same as yours.
Those are my favorite types of books. They tend to be the ones that I read over and over. They can help you get through grief, whether its the grief of a child or a spouse or the grief that you can’t have children.
Books can take you to a time period that you can never get back to. Like the prairie days. These are my favorite days ever since I was a small child. Growing up my dad made me read to him out loud in the summer times. I hated this as a child, but today, I blame my love of books on my dad.
Anyways, I hope you love reading as much as I do. If you have a great book that I should read let me know. Have fun reading, the weather is great so do it outside!
